Off-Site Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering off-site!
These opportunities take place off-site from our main warehouse at locations throughout the community, including local neighborhoods and farmers’ markets. Explore our positions below and see what matches your passions and skillsets.

Neighborhood Sites:
Neighborhood site volunteers pick up food from our Warehouse, deliver, and distribute it in a local neighborhood (see shifts for more details).

Grocery Store Pick-Ups:
Help Food for Others rescue food from local grocery stores and deliver donations to our Warehouse.
*Note: Use of personal vehicle is needed.

P3 Driving:
Become a regular or substitute driver for delivering weekend supplementary food packs to Fairfax County students.

Farmers Market Gleaning:
During the growing season (April-November), generous partners from local farms donate fresh produce. Volunteers travel to local farmers markets to connect with our donors and collect donations on FFO’s behalf!

Special Events:
Keep an eye out for FFO’s special events throughout the year! We need volunteers for the Library Read & Feed food drive in April, the Feed Fairfax 5k in May, and the Tysons 5k and Fun Run in September.
Disclaimer: Court and education-related service cannot be completed off-site – no exceptions.
