
Deb Haynes
Executive DirectorDeb joined Food for Others in August of 2023. She is passionate about making our community an equitable and healthy place for all, where no one goes hungry. Deb came to Food for Others after seven years in homeless services. She spends her spare time with her family, playing board games, and spoiling her pets.

Anna Slaten
Director of Development & OutreachAnna joined the Food for Others team as Director of Development & Outreach in April of 2022. Passionate about both food security and advocating for a more equitable food system in our community, Anna is excited to have joined the team. In her spare time, Anna can often be found exploring local farmers’ markets, hiking, or chasing after her Bernedoodle, Stevie.

April Frazier Simmons
Director of Operations & Client ServicesApril has been working at Food for Others since 2001. She has spent so many years with FFO because she enjoys helping people in need. On the weekends, April spends time with her children and grandchildren.

Nikki Clifford, CVA
Director of Volunteer ServicesNikki joined the Food for Others team in 2010. She loves working at FFO because when she leaves the office each day, she knows that she has helped someone in need. In her free time, she can be found knitting, teaching Italian to her nephew, or hanging out with her mom and her husband.

Brittany Marteney
Program ManagerBrittany Marteney was born and raised in Fairfax. She works for Food for Others because she wants to have a positive impact on the community. In her spare time, she enjoys cuddling with her two hound dogs, Scarlet and Princeton, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Kogeshan Supramunian
Warehouse ManagerWith over a decade of managerial expertise in manufacturing and production settings, Kogeshan brings a wealth of experience to his role as Warehouse Manager at Food for Others. Having served as Regional Operations Manager at Remade Recycling in South Africa, overseeing three warehouses in Johannesburg, and subsequently managing operations at Coca Cola Consolidated Maryland facility, he possesses a keen understanding of warehouse logistics and optimization. Kogeshan’s commitment extends beyond professional realms; outside of work, he remains active in sports, both as a player and spectator, and dedicates time to volunteering, reflecting his passion for community engagement, and making a positive impact beyond the warehouse walls.

Hannah Brockway
Development & Communications CoordinatorHannah joined the Food for Others team in April 2023. Hannah is passionate about food justice and was drawn to FFO’s impact and emphasis on community. Outside of the development office, you can find Hannah hiking or exploring the area.

Alaina Missbach
Food Resources & Nutrition CoordinatorAlaina joined Food for Others in July 2024. As both a trained chef and a veteran, she enjoys being able to combine her passions for food and serving others through her work with the organization. She loves working for Food for Others because she’s always meeting new people, learning new things, and connecting with her community through the powerful medium of food. In her free time, Alaina does a lot of cooking, reads a whole lot of books, and spends quality time with her husband, teenagers, pug, and orange cat.

Axcelyn Tejada
Client Resource CoordinatorAxcelyn joined the FFO family in July 2023. She deeply enjoys being part of a workplace who’s mission is oriented around helping people. Axcelyn strongly believes that we must serve others since it connects us back to the human essence. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her baby Samantha, her family, and her church.

Cal Medrano
Front Desk CoordinatorCal graduated from George Mason University in their Humanities & Social Science college and began working for Food for Others in February of 2024. Cal majored in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Sustainable agriculture at George Mason University. Their passion lies in Urban agriculture and humanitarian work within their community, which led them here to Food for Others! Outside of work Cal’s a big enjoyer of carnivorous plants, trying new restaurants and fashion.

Warren Dorr
Market CoordinatorWarren was born in Peru but has lived in the Northern Virginia area for the majority of his life. He spent years moving around the United States and even spent a year in Hawaii, which was his favorite place to live. He chose to work at Food for Others because he has needed help in the past and is now passionate about giving back. Warren is a fan of all Washington sports teams and in his free time enjoys playing sports with his son.
Warehouse Staff

Mauricio Castillo
Mauricio began working at Food for Others in 2008. He loves driving FFO’s trucks to our neighborhood sites and to pick up food donations. After hours, Mauricio enjoys playing soccer and visiting local parks with his children.

Rossio Senzano
Rossio has been a member of FFO’s warehouse staff since 2010. She likes her job because the high level of activity in the warehouse always keeps her busy. Rossio spends her free time caring for her five-year-old niece and 10-year-old nephews.

Pete Girondo
Pete joined the Food for Others team in February of 2023 as a warehouse staff member and driver. This is Pete’s first time working in the nonprofit world after working at a Benjamin Moore private retailer for 4 years. Pete is excited to be a member of the Food for Others team. In his free time, Pete likes the outdoors, sneakers, and giant monster movies, such as King Kong and Godzilla.

Wes Tanner
As a long-time Northern Virginia resident, Wes was excited to join the team in July 2023. Wes’s focus is on the Power Pack Program, supporting schools during the academic year as they pick up an distribute meals to their students.

Davone Roseboro
Davone joined the team full-time in April of 2024.
