Change is coming to Food for Others. We’re opening our new My Market for picking up food on January 23rd. Learn more about the upcoming change and how the process of receiving food will be different here:

Q: What is My Market?

A: The My Market space is a grocery store-like shopping experience where clients who qualify for a USDA box or have an emergency referral can go to receive emergency food assistance.

Q: Where is it located?

A: 2942 Prosperity Avenue, Fairfax VA 22031 (in the same parking lot as our current location)

Q: How will it be different when I come to get food?

A: Starting on January 23rd, you will go to the new My Market to pick up your food. You can still come to receive food through one or both of our programs USDA and emergency referral. When you arrive, you will still need to bring some form of ID to sign in at the front desk. After signing in, you’ll be able to select your food items from the market space. Part of the market will be for families receiving USDA food and part will be for families with emergency referrals.  We recommend that visitors bring reusable grocery bags each time they come for food.

Q: When can I come to get food?

A: We will have the same operating hours. We’re open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.
