Food for Others Feature on WJLA

WJLA-TV joined Food for Others in April to shed light on challenges that lie ahead due to USDA budget cuts. These reductions directly impact the availability of emergency food for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. WJLA

When asked, Executive Director Deb Haynes shared, “…we are deeply concerned and closely monitoring what’s ahead. Last year, we served more than 64,000 individuals, with 20% of the food we provided coming from the USDA’s Emergency Food Access [Assistance] Program…”
