Food for Others Wins Moxie Award 

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (November 8, 2024) – Food for Others, a regional food bank serving the community since 1995, has won the 2024 Moxie Award for Nonprofits (<20 employees). Executive Director Deb Haynes is pleased to have accepted this award highlighting the operational innovation and boldness of the Food for Others My Market choice-pantry operation. 

Winners were recently announced at the 2024 Moxie Award Ceremony & Dinner celebration on Oct. 24th at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. “We hosted more than 450 of DC’s boldest in business to celebrate the 2024 Moxie Award winners,” said Katie Jordan, Moxie Award chair.

Since 1995, Food for Others has been committed to addressing food insecurity in Northern Virginia. In FY23 alone, the organization distributed 3.5 million pounds of food across the region, providing free groceries, social services, and a safety net to its neighbors in need.
